TECAR THERAPY
TECAR Therapy For Physiotherapy & Sports Medicine
Professional TECAR therapy systems for physiotherapy clinics, sports medicine and rehabilitation centres. DiaCare 5000 and DiaCare 7000 — the world’s leading TECAR devices.

What Is TECAR Therapy?
Transfer of Energy Capacitive & Resistive
TECAR stands for Transfer of Energy Capacitive and Resistive. It is a form of diathermy that uses high-frequency electromagnetic energy to generate heat within the body’s own biological tissues — from inside the tissue itself, not on the surface.
The technology works through two modes. Capacitive mode targets soft tissues — muscles, tendons and fascia. Resistive mode targets harder structures — bone, cartilage, ligaments and joints.
How It Works
The Science Behind TECAR
When high-frequency electromagnetic energy is applied to biological tissue, the ions and polar molecules within the tissue begin to oscillate. This creates friction at the molecular level, generating heat deep within the treated structure. The patient feels a gentle, comfortable warmth — no muscle contraction or sharp sensation.
The controlled thermal effect produces increased local blood circulation, accelerated cellular metabolism, enhanced lymphatic drainage, reduced muscle tension and faster removal of inflammatory mediators. The result is measurably faster healing, reduced pain and improved tissue mobility.

Clinical Applications
What TECAR Therapy Treats
Acute
INJURY MANAGEMENT
Muscle tears, ligament sprains and joint trauma. Applied in athermal mode to reduce inflammation and swelling in the acute phase without adding heat.
Chronic
PAIN CONDITIONS
Chronic back pain, cervical pain, arthrosis and fibromyalgia. TECAR addresses the root cause — poor local circulation and tissue hypoxia.
Post-op
REHABILITATION
Post-surgical recovery for ACL reconstruction, hip and knee replacements, rotator cuff repair. Documented reduction in recovery times.
Sport
PERFORMANCE & REVOVERY
Pre-competition warm-up, post-competition recovery and injury prevention protocols. Used by Premier League clubs and elite athletes.
Conditions Treated
- Musculoskeletal injuries
- muscle tears, strains and contusions
- Tendinopathies
- Achilles, patellar, rotator cuff, hamstring
- Joint pathologies

Physiotherapy Clinics
TECAR is one of the most in-demand treatment modalities in physiotherapy today. Clinics offering TECAR attract more patients and command higher treatment fees.
⚽️
Elite Sports Clubs
Premier League football clubs, professional rugby teams and elite cycling squads use TECAR as a primary soft tissue treatment tool for injury management and recovery.
🏃
Sports Medicine
Sports medicine physicians use TECAR for its ability to treat both acute injuries and chronic overuse conditions effectively across all sporting disciplines.
🔬
Rehabilitation Centres
Post-surgical and neurological rehabilitation centres use TECAR to accelerate recovery, reduce scar tissue formation and restore full function faster than conventional therapy alone.
Professional TECAR Systems
Globus Diacare Range
