Pressotherapy For Home Use
Professional-grade sequential compression therapy for home use. The same lymphatic drainage and circulation benefits used in clinics — now available for personal recovery, wellness and relaxation at home.
What Is Pressotherapy
Sequential Pneumatic Compression
Pressotherapy uses inflatable accessories — boots, armbands or abdominal band — that inflate in a sequential manner from the extremities towards the centre of the body. This replicates and amplifies the body’s natural lymphatic and venous return mechanisms, dramatically improving fluid movement and metabolic waste clearance.
The therapy works through controlled air pressure that mechanically stimulates the lymphatic system — pushing lymphatic fluid and venous blood back towards the core. The result is faster clearance of inflammatory mediators, reduced swelling and measurably faster recovery.
How Pressotherapy Works
The Physiology Of
Lymphatic Drainage
THE LYMPHATIC SYSTEM
The lymphatic system is a one-way drainage network that runs parallel to the circulatory system. Its job is to collect excess fluid, metabolic waste products and immune cells from the body’s tissues and return them to the bloodstream for processing and elimination. Unlike the cardiovascular system, the lymphatic system has no pump — it relies entirely on muscle contractions and body movement to drive flow.
After intense exercise, large volumes of metabolic waste — including lactic acid, prostaglandins and cytokines — accumulate in the muscles. The lymphatic system must clear these waste products before full recovery can occur. If the system is overwhelmed or underactive, this waste builds up, causing the soreness, heaviness and swelling familiar to every athlete after a hard training session.
HOW SEQUENTIAL COMPRESSION HELPS
Pressotherapy works by mechanically stimulating the lymphatic system through sequential compression. As the chambers inflate from foot to thigh in a wave-like pattern, they push lymphatic fluid and venous blood back towards the core — effectively doing the job of muscular contractions even while the body is at rest.
The result is dramatically faster clearance of lactic acid and inflammatory mediators from the muscles, reduced swelling and oedema, improved venous return and a measurable reduction in recovery time between training sessions. Elite athletes report that pressotherapy sessions feel like having the fatigue physically squeezed out of their legs.
