What Is TECAR
TECAR — Transfer of Energy Capacitive and Resistive — is a form of diathermy that uses high-frequency electromagnetic energy to generate heat from within the tissue itself.
Capacitive mode targets soft tissue: muscles, tendons and fascia. Resistive mode targets harder structures: bone, cartilage, ligaments and joints.
How It Works
High-frequency energy causes ions and polar molecules in the tissue to oscillate, creating friction and heat deep within the treated structure. The patient feels only a gentle, comfortable warmth — no muscle contraction or sharp sensation.
The controlled thermal effect increases local blood flow, accelerates cellular metabolism, enhances lymphatic drainage, reduces muscle tension and clears inflammatory mediators. The result is faster healing, reduced pain and improved tissue mobility.
Clinical Applications
Muscle tears, ligament sprains and joint trauma. Athermal mode reduces inflammation and swelling in the acute phase without adding heat.
Chronic back pain, cervical pain, arthrosis and fibromyalgia. TECAR targets poor local circulation and tissue hypoxia.
Recovery after ACL reconstruction, hip and knee replacements, and rotator cuff repair. Documented reduction in recovery times.
Pre-competition warm-up, post-competition recovery and injury prevention — used by Premier League clubs and elite athletes.

Who Uses TECAR
TECAR is one of the most in-demand modalities in physiotherapy, helping clinics attract patients and command higher treatment fees.
Premier League football clubs, rugby teams and elite cycling squads use TECAR as a primary soft-tissue tool for injury management and recovery.
Sports medicine physicians use TECAR to treat acute injuries and chronic overuse conditions across all disciplines.
Post-surgical and neurological rehabilitation centres use TECAR to accelerate recovery, reduce scar tissue and restore function faster than conventional therapy alone.
Professional Range
The DiaCare range is the world's leading professional TECAR therapy system.
