What Is Veterinary TECAR Therapy

Veterinary TECAR therapy is an innovative treatment for pathologies of the musculoskeletal system in animals. It is a form of thermotherapy that generates heat directly within the tissues by applying a variable high-frequency electric field — producing therapeutic effects without drugs, needles or surgery.
The therapy is delivered via handpieces or electrodes that bring energy directly to the treated area. It is quick to use, painless and non-invasive — making it well tolerated by both small animals and horses, even in acute conditions.
The Two Treatments Modes
Capacitive & Resistive Methods
Capacitive
Treats superficial tissues, focusing on the skin, connective tissues, blood circulation and lymphatic system. The current is applied via an insulated active electrode and a non-insulated counter-electrode. Therapeutic action is concentrated in the tissues below the active electrode.
Resistive
Performed with a non-insulated electrode, allowing the current to focus on tissues more resistant to electrical charges — bone tissue, cartilage, tendons, ligaments, aponeurotic fascias and fibrotic tissues. The therapeutic action takes place between the two electrodes as the current travels homogeneously along this channel generating heat.

Biostimulant

Ainti-inflammatory
